So long, farewell

Hey y'all, with the next meeting right around the corner, I think it's time for me to bow out. My Tuesday dates with a friend making stained glass are resuming, and I've got a few other things for which I need to drum up some scheduling space (hello, gym, I'm looking at you). It's been such fun reading with you and I hope you keep it up! If you ever have a question about how your book sold, or how it was reviewed when it came out, shoot me an email! Maybe I could be the publishing consultant.

Good luck in all you do. Keep me posted on major life events, and I hope to run into you again in the future. Maybe next Restaurant Week? Very best. Happy fall!

August meeting

I sent around an email about the August meeting, and I hope to see you at my new-ish apartment on the 25th. The address, which I think I neglected to mention in the email, is 901 S. 49th Street. We're on the first floor. If you need directions or have other pressing questions, give me a call! We've been doing 6:30, which still works fine for me. See you there.

Welcome, newbies, and next meeting

Hi new faces! We hope you can make it to the next meeting, which will now be back to our original TUESDAY evening, the last of the month, at 6:30. We're reading THE GIRLS WHO WENT AWAY (see link to the side). Who wants to host? I could, because my husband has class late, so he wouldn't have to hide in the other room. But I am certainly not wedded to hosting.

We'll get this all fitted to our needs soon, but in the meantime, feel free to start writing. Use this space to ask questions while you're reading, bring up topics for the group to consider before the next meeting, post coupons for the bookstore-- whatever you need! It would be great to stay abreast of local events that might interest the group: readings, book signings, new stores, great coffee shops, chili cook-offs-- you get the idea. Enjoy.
