Next Books
As I was reading book reviews in all types of magazines and papers over the weekend, I was jotting down the names of books that I found appealling. Before I offer them up for group consciousness, was there a decision about the type of books or a theme we would like to keep alive through our group? Let me know before I send anyone, including myself, on a wild goose chase. Thanks a lot.

I think it would be great to read all sorts of books. Then again, a "theme" of fiction would be fun too. I suppose I'm not really helping. Anyone else?
My suggestion was that we each come up with one suggestion and throw it into a hat for future picks. That way everyone is included and no one's taste dominates. I think in general we are open to different things, but we are based on (somewhat) sophisticated fiction, maybe some biography/memoir type books... as long as it doesn't feel like a chore to read yet is enlightening in some way. Does the group agree?? This was what I tried to convey when I first posted the ad on CL. :)
I open to try anyones suggestions! Although I also prefer 'sophisticated fiction' as opposed to any Danielle Steele-type books. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone :)
